We’re Hiring: Sales

We believe that Typekit is moving web design forward. This job is about introducing our products to people who are passionate about the web, and who build some of the largest sites in the world.

In this role, you’ll identify key sales opportunities for Typekit. Besides working directly with large media companies and corporations, you’ll identify design agencies that we aren't yet working with and bring them on board. As a Typekit team member, you’ll have a first-hand look at how our customers think, what their big problems are, and most importantly, how Typekit might provide a solution. Your feedback will influence product direction by bringing our clients voices to everything we do.

The person

We’re looking for someone who has experience working in or pitching to agencies. If you’ve pitched Saas offerings, that’s interesting too. Since you’d be focused on bringing on new agency clients, good agency contacts are required.

And since we’re a start-up, technical know-how is important, too; a CS degree isn’t necessary, but working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript is a must.  Ideally, you love design and typography in particular. Evangelism is in your blood.

This is the most important part:  You close deals and it won’t take us too much digging to prove your success.

New York is an ideal location for this role; if you’ve built and managed teams, that’s a plus.

We have over 250,000 customers including some of the largest sites on the web today: The New York Times, Conde Nast, IGN, Twitter, and many others. Based in San Francisco, the company was founded in 2008 by some of the web’s most experienced designers and developers with the goal of advancing what's possible on the web.
